My name is Tarja Samuelsson and I live with my family on an old farm from 1800century. I am born in Finland and grew up in the suburb Kållered outside Gothenburg. I have always been fascinated by animals and have always had animals around me. As a child there were mice, hamsters and rabbits.

Later, when I met my husband from the countryside, we have had larger animals like cows. We raise Herefordcattle to keep the beautiful surroundings open. Eccept the cattle, our children has two rabbits and I own HedemoraHens together with my neighbour Birgitta. We are in a programme to keep the old rase.

My  breedinggoals

My cattery is quite newstarted but I have been in the world of ragdolls for about four years now.Wanting to start the right way  by increasing my knowledge about breeding, have taken time. I have allowed the search of breedingqueen also to take time. By the years my  breedinggoals has become clearer.

Breeding and genetics is incredibly interesting and the more you read, the more you understand that there is to learn. The interest is growing from day to day. My ambition is to breed social familymembers that keeps the specific characteristics of a ragdoll. I want to breed as near the standards of the ragdoll as possible according to the material I have. The male will be chosen first after temperament and health, after that , the looks. Looks are important, but it cant be the main goal. I will try to come as near all the criterias as possible. Hopefully there will turn out to be cats for show to.

The cats are members of our family. They live together with us in the whole house and they are treated with greatest respect.

The lynxes that recently have been recognized is very  close to my heart. It feels temptning to work with it  - because of still beeing much to develop in the new colours. I hope that I can contribute with something within this quite new variety.

All our breeders are tested for bloodgroup, Hcm,Cin and Pkd before put in our breedingprogramme.
